INDICATIONS AND DOSAGE:
Imodium drug indicated for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhea (acute and chronic). Imodium can be used in case of traveler's diarrhea.
In acute diarrhea, Imodium is used in the initial dose: adults - 4 mg (2 capsules) for children - 2 mg (1 capsule). In the future, you should use 1 capsule after each stool Imodium liquid consistency.
In chronic diarrhea treatment Imodium starting dose for adults is 4 mg / day, for children - 2 mg / day.
The maximum daily dose of Imodium for adults is 16 mg (8 capsules). For children, the maximum daily dose is calculated on the basis of body weight - 3 capsules for every 20 kg of body weight.
